Notes: Source: Sandy Holland I'm not so sure Hal was a journalist with Observer. He may have been but also worked in the linetype dept.   A civil war letter from John Cocke to his Father: 24 Aug 1861 was found in Nelle's possessions. We're not sure why or where the letter came from. We're in the process of researching family history to discover if John Cocke is related, or if the letter came to Nelle or Hal as part of their journalistic work.
